Why and When NOT to use a Bushcraft Zip Tie, and the proper use of the Canadian Jam Knot/Arbor Knot

The Arbor Knot which is actually 2 knots was meant to be used when the working end is under load and around an Arbor (like a Fishing Reel)

The Canadian Jam knot was meat as another use for an Arbor style knot for temporary binding of non moving parts like Bedroll compression etc so that the cordage was recoverable at the end of its use.

When objects are placed within the loop under load like shelter components and other moving or articulating pieces it will come loose, for security the use of a 3rd overhand stop knot is necessary, rendering the cordage near unrecoverable depending on stress.
